Definition of Public and Private accounts:

 

•     Public - 
  • All follow requests are automatically accepted. 
  • Anyone can search by your name in the “Surfer” field.
•     Private -
  • All follow requests must be accepted by the “Private” user.
  • Only followers can search by your name in the “Surfer” field.
  • If a non-follower searches other conditions that match a private account the posts will still appear in the search feed.

Date of birth & age

SurfHub stores your date of birth to verify minimum age (configurable; currently 13) and to support optional age-based advertising targeting. Your date of birth is private by default and is never displayed on public profiles. You may optionally show a derived age on your profile via Edit Profile → “Show my age on my profile” (off by default).

You can download a copy of your personal data (including date of birth and age privacy settings) from Export my data, and permanently delete your account from account settings.
